Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 tsp. soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs (ubeaten)
- 2 cups fresh buttermilk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Method
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir to just moisten dry ingredients.
- Mixture will be thick and lumpy.
- Drop by spoonful onto lightly greased griddle, spreading batter with spoon.
- Turn cakes as soon as browned and cook the other side until browned.
