Saagu
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 carrots
- 1 potato
- One bunch of beans
- 1/2 cup shelled peas
- For Grinding
- 2 tspns Jeera
- 1/2 cup wet coconut
- 4 green chillies or as per taste
- Pudhina
- 1 tspn Khus Khus
- One inch stick of Cinnamon
- Cook the vegetables with salt and little turmeric powder in the pressure cooker for one whistle. Do not add too much water to cook the vegetables.
- Take little oil in a Kadai.
- Season it with little mustard seeds.
- Add the cooked vegetables and the ground paste.
- Allow the whole mixture to boil at low heat till you get the required consistency of a liquid curry.
